founder of the of the Land League.
A visit to Foxford Woolen Mills &
Visitors Centre is a must. Take the
industrial tour and experience the sights,
sounds and smells of this 19th century
woolen mill. Afterwards relax in the
comfortable restaurant and browse through
the impressive mill shop.
Continue north on the N26 following the
River Moy which boasts some of the best
salmon and brown trout in Europe. Ballina
is a lively town with many good cafes and
restaurants to have lunch in.

systems in the world, over five and a half

changed our perception of our Stone Age
ancestors. The remains of stone field
walls, houses and megalithic tombs are
preserved beneath a blanket of peat over
several square miles.
