Heineken Castlebar Blues Festival
The first weekend in June sees great blues bands appearing in the pubs & clubs of Castlebar. Side events include workshops and street entertainment.


Castlebar's International Walks
This event involves 1-4 day walking trips, taking in some of the most beautiful and tranquil locations of the area. (First weekend in July).


Golf Open Week
At the end of June Castlebar golf club offers a challenge each year to all golfers for direction and distance.


Heritage Day
At the end of August/beginning of September the clock os turned back and Castlebar becomes immersed in a typical early 20th Century day. Vintage cars chug through the town, market stalls selling pigs, hens and freshly churned butter scatter the streets and there is the smell of freshly baked soda bread and pungent home-made cheeses.
